ANDREW VINCENT MESSINA FUND of Community Foundation of Sarasota County Grant
- Grant applications are open to any student residing in Sarasota or Manatee County who is taking lessons from a teacher who is a member of the Sarasota Music Teachers’ Association or the Manatee County Music Teachers’ Association. Preference will be given to students between the ages of 6 and 18. Preference will also be give to students who have been studying for a period of one year or more. Grant applications are available in April and are due in July. They are distributed through Pritchard’s Pianos & Organs in Sarasota. Contact Marian Cox.

Other Scholarships
Gulf Coast Music Club, affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs, offers Summer Camp Scholarships. A summer camp scholarship form will be at the Festival Registration tables and the January 12 SMTA meeting.
The Sarasota Music Club, affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs, offers annual Scholarship Awards to graduating seniors intending to major in music in college and others. Students attending schools in Sarasota and Manatee County schools are eligible. Generally, the awards range from $1,000 to $2,000 per student.
Suncoast Music Scholarships (a collaboration of the Sarasota Music Club and Artist Series Concerts) will be holding auditions on March 25, 2020 at Symphony Hall in Sarasota. Scholarships will be awarded to four 12th graders planning to major or minor in music. Also, scholarships will be awarded to two 10th and two 11th graders to help further music study and/or attendance at music camps. More information and the application forms can be found in the fall at either of two websites: www.sarasotamusicclub.org or www.artistseriesconcerts.org or you may contact Mary Webb at 758-6035 for more information.
